#BGTB Gaining followers

Hello everyone,
Before I start the post, here are the most important posts from this series. So if you are new to blogging, definitely check these posts out first. Intro to Blogging | Blogging Platform

Blogging Friends

Honestly, making blogging friends is the best in so many ways! First off, they support and follow your blog and you can talk to them about anything. When you find bloggers in the same niche (or similar), you realise that you make great friends. They are always your loyal readers friends who are there for your blog. Yes, I crossed out readers because they become part of your internet family.

Guest Post/Collabs

The one of many ways on getting your blog out there to different audiences. This drives traffic to your blog because if the audience likes your style of writing or content, there is a high chance of them clicking the link to your blog. You can collab with a few blogging friends or guest post on their blogs. There are a few magazine based blogs that let bloggers guest post so definitely look around Instagram for those accounts. They usually follow you first so definitely take advantage of that.

Social Media

This is by far the strongest tool to growing your following and getting your blog noticed. I know that Instagram’s aligrothom isn’t the best at promoting your posts but that shouldn’t stop you. Twitter is my new favourite place because you can join blogging groups with over 20 bloggers, join blogging chats in the evening (there are so many on twitter that I possibly can’t link all! Definitely check the hashtag #bloggingchats). There is also Bloglovin so you could even have bloggers who are not on WordPress to follow you.

The Theme

The moment someone clicks the link to be directed to your blog, the theme gives a big impression on your personality and on what you have to offer as a blogger. Themes can be very daunting and there seems to be a mindset of wanting to be like other bloggers. That is our downfall. Make your theme represent you and only you. This first impression is what makes the reader press the follow button or not.
Also, use relevant widgets and don’t overcrowd it with everything or with nothing at all. The most important ones are: Search, Profile, Follow by email, WordPress Follow button, Social media. You can order them however you want.

So I hope you all enjoyed this post. If you have any themes that you want me to cover in this series than make sure comment below as Id love to know your ideas. Have a lovely day everyone!
Najida x

Such great advice! I’ve been blogging since May, but I still feel like such a newbie. You are so right about blogging friends- it helps to have that kind of support! Arielle-

Thank you for reading! Also, you and the blogger you are collating with can come up with ideas and agree on the one you want to do. You both don’t have to do the same Blog post but it could be the same theme xx
