Study with me | Weekend Edition

Hello everyone,
I hope you are all are having a great start to your half-term break. Today I’m going to be doing a study with me because on twitter I came across Sophie’s tweet about how someone would structure this in a blog post form instead of a video. We then tweeted back and forth until we decided to attempt it and turn it into a collab as well! Sophie’s (from LoveSoph blog) links will be all down below and her post should be up.

Saturday

I started my revision after lunch because I spent the morning cleaning my room and reading a book. The first thing I revised was Geography because I’m struggling with this subject. It’s no the content that I don’t understand, it’s the exam style questions so I did a past paper. Anything that I forgot I used my revision guide for any statistics. This took me 45 minutes but I could’ve spent up to an hour on it.
After that, I got out my laptop and carried on my speech for my speaking a listening exam which will affect my grade. This took me about an hour to finish it and check it and make sure I had AFOREST. I’m proud to say that I got a distinction on Monday 🙂

To end Saturday’s revision, I did some business revision by creating flashcards for any keywords. I was kind of getting tired so I only spent 30 minutes on this.
I don’t like taking breaks unless I’ve been working for 2-3 hours because that’s just how I work best and it keeps me in the revision mood. To treat myself, I watched two episodes of Riverdale.

Sunday

Sunday is a day I pamper myself, do any blog related things and it’s just a day I rest to end the week off. So I only revised Biology. For 15 minutes, I went over my flashcards once because there’s just so many and it’s only one topic of paper one. I like to go over them sometimes so then I don’t forget the content.

Biology is also another subject that I really struggle with because of the experience that I’ve had in school for the past three and a half years. So I did an exam paper for a certain topic and it had a mark scheme so I could check whether I’m answering the questions right. This took around an hour and 15 minutes and I did ok on this paper but I could’ve done so much better so I made a note to do more questions.

Don’t forget to check Sophie’s post! I want to thank her so much for collabing with me because it was nice to attempt to write a study with me and I can’t wait to see her post! ->https://imazalfiefanatic.wordpress.com

Thank you so much for this post! I’m splitting my IGCSEs between two years, so although I’m meant to be in year 10, I’m sitting three exams in May. This post has inspired me to want to do the same on my own blog 🙂

This post couldn’t have come at a better time as I’m currently revising for yet some more mock exams coming up soon! Congrats on your distinction! I remember doing the speaking exams last year 🙁 I love how you have Sunday as a pamper day free from revision too, so important xxx

Thank you so much Sophie! You are so lucky that you can do it next term because I don’t think the time I got was enough to prepare. Geography is so boring too, haha💜

I was kind of hoping i would be able to get it over and done with, but I suppose more time to prepare can never be a bad thing x
